Getting there
by air:
Cape Air flies from Boston's Logan Airport direct to Provincetown Airport at Race Point. There are several flights a day in spring, winter and fall, more frequently in the summer. The scenic flight takes approximately 25 minutes, with connections to all major airlines in Boston. There is also a direct connection from Ptown to New York (White Plains)
by ferry:
High-speed ferries (carrying passengers only) leave daily in summer from Commonwealth Pier and Long Wharf in Boston. The pleasant voyage takes about 90 minutes
by bus:
Regular service from Boston, New York, Providence and Hyannis takes very little longer than driving. The bus drivers will gladly drop you off on the route in into town. The bus enters Provincetown's East End, travels along Bradford Street to Standish Street, and on to the bus stop at the foot of MacMillan Pier, near the Chamber of Commerce. Get your tickets online.
by car:
Provincetown is at the end of Route 6. From the south you can come through Providence Rte. 195; from the north or west Rte. 495 and 95 and through Boston by Rte. 3. All routes connect with Route 6. Driving time from Boston or Providence is about two and a half hours, New York about six hours. Allow more time on busy days / during rush hours.
Enter Provincetown on Route 6. Take a left at the traffic lights. Follow Conwell Street. Turn left at stop sign. Follow Bradford Street a short distance, then turn right at Dyer Street (it's the fifth street on the right.)
