The Benchmark Inn welcomes everyone. We are committed to the inclusion of all guests.

Due to the remarkable age of our house and the existing structure of the building, the removal of obstacles is difficult or impossible to implement.

The only restrictions are for people with limited mobility, as there are at least five steps to climb to get into the building and the guest rooms.
Unfortunately, access is not possible for people who are wheelchair bound.

Physical barriers at Benchmark Inn include:

• There is no elevator in our historic building.
• Access to the only guest room on the lowest floor (Room 1), the common room, the front desk, and the guest restroom is only possible via 5 steps from street level.
• Access to the 6 remaining guest rooms on the second and third floors is only possible via 5 steps from street level and one or two full flights of stairs.
• The building can be exited only by stairs even in case of emergency.
• In the bathrooms, one at least 5 inch high step must be negotiated into the shower. There are no additional handrails.

Accessibility at Benchmark Inn includes:

• All steps and stairs inside and on the exterior of the property have at least a railing and often an additional handrail for the balance safety of users.
• Guests with a legitimate need for a service animal are provided access to all areas on the property where guests are permitted.
• Guests with other disabilities, but who are fully capable of movement, are free to roam the publicly accessible areas of the property.
